Carol mentioned she wondered if there was a way to print a skull — to which I of course replied “Duh!”. After several hours in recovery…
So this morning I downloaded a skull from GrabCAD in STL format and printed it. It looked pretty good, and printed well at about 1/2 inch tall. Unfortunately the jaw was pretty fragile and not securely attached to the main brain pan, so it broke off (crumbled is more like it) when I was removing the skull from the painter’s tape base.
Still, pretty easy to find things download them, run through the Slic3r program, then print.
